The proposed change in standards would take effect October 1st, 2023. The proposal under consideration would change the eligibility requirements to read as follows: “All PVTA services are open to individuals 65 years of age or older and individuals of any age that have a qualifying disability.” Riders already registered with PVTA under the age of 65 will remain eligible for the program.Ĭurrently, the eligibility requirements for PVTA services are as follows: “All PVTA services are open to individuals 60 years of age or older and individuals of any age that have a qualifying disability.” In order to continue utilizing federal funding the PVTA services will need to comply with the modification in age for future eligible registration. This change is mandated for all recipients of Section 5310 federal funds. The Pomona Valley Transportation Authority (PVTA) will be holding a public hearing on August 16th, 2023 to consider a proposal to increase the minimum age for Get About services and all additional PVTA services including: San Dimas Dial-a-Cab and Claremont Dial-a-ride eligibility to (65+) years of age.
